Frequently Asked Questions
Build the right network. Start relevant conversations. Create real opportunities.
BlueTier is a managed, technology-enabled business-development and relationship-building platform. It helps professionals identify the right people, build targeted professional networks, start appropriate conversations, and develop qualified engagement into real business relationships.
BlueTier currently operates primarily through LinkedIn. AI assists with repetitive work such as research, campaign development, messaging, monitoring, and reporting, while people remain responsible for professional judgment and the relationships that follow.
Understanding BlueTier
What is BlueTier?
BlueTier is a managed, technology-enabled business-development and relationship-building platform. It combines targeted professional networking, campaign support, technology, AI-assisted workflows, and a client dashboard to help professionals create and develop relevant business relationships.
What does BlueTier do?
BlueTier helps you:
- Define the clients, decision-makers, referral partners, and other professionals you want to know.
- Strengthen how you are presented professionally.
- Build a targeted network around your goals.
- Launch approved outreach and relationship-development campaigns.
- Monitor connections, conversations, responses, and campaign performance.
- Identify engagement that requires your personal attention.
- Move appropriate conversations toward meetings, referrals, introductions, and potential business opportunities.
How does BlueTier work?
The process follows four stages:
- Define: We work with you to clarify your goals, ideal customer profile, target audience, offer, and relationship strategy.
- Build: BlueTier helps create and grow a targeted professional network.
- Engage: Approved campaigns introduce you and your services through relevant, light-touch communication.
- Connect: When engagement develops, BlueTier helps move the conversation toward a human relationship, meeting, referral, introduction, or potential opportunity.
Is BlueTier software or a managed service?
Today, BlueTier is both a technology platform and a managed service. The technology provides campaign execution, visibility, and reporting. The BlueTier team supports strategy, audience definition, campaign setup, monitoring, and optimization. As the platform develops, more capabilities may become self-service, but managed support remains an important part of the current member experience.
Is BlueTier a marketing company or lead-generation company?
Not in the traditional sense. BlueTier does not primarily sell advertising, anonymous lead lists, or one-time marketing campaigns. It helps you build and engage a professional network that you own and can continue developing over time.
BlueTier can contribute to customer acquisition, but its primary mechanism is relationship development: identifying relevant people, starting appropriate conversations, and helping qualified engagement reach the person best positioned to continue it.
Is BlueTier a LinkedIn automation tool?
No. BlueTier currently uses LinkedIn as its primary professional-networking channel, but BlueTier is broader than an automation tool. It combines targeting, profile positioning, managed campaign support, AI assistance, dashboard visibility, human handoffs, and, where available, relationship introductions (Premium · Pilot).
Who is BlueTier designed for?
BlueTier is designed primarily for professionals and B2B organizations whose growth depends on trust, relationships, referrals, introductions, and access to decision-makers. Examples include professional services, insurance, consulting, technology, healthcare, real estate, financial services, franchise development, and other relationship-led businesses.
BlueTier is usually most valuable when the people you want to reach can be identified by professional role, company, industry, geography, experience, or another relevant business characteristic.
Is BlueTier for individuals or companies?
Both.
For an individual professional, BlueTier can build and engage a targeted network around that person's role, business, and growth objectives.
For a company or team, BlueTier can support, as a managed team offering, a coordinated strategy across multiple professional profiles, audiences, campaigns, territories, and relationship handoffs. Team capabilities and implementation requirements are reviewed directly with the organization.
Can BlueTier help a consumer-facing business?
Possibly, but BlueTier is generally strongest for professional and relationship-led outreach. For example, a healthcare practice may use BlueTier more effectively to develop relationships with employers, medical offices, associations, referral partners, or other providers than to advertise directly to individual patients.
During onboarding, BlueTier helps determine whether the best strategy is direct prospecting, referral-partner development, organizational outreach, or a combination of these approaches.
Where is BlueTier available?
BlueTier primarily serves United States-based professionals and organizations today. Other markets may be supported depending on the client's goals, applicable laws, platform availability, and campaign requirements.
Targeting, Campaigns, and the Client Experience
How does BlueTier determine whom I should connect with?
BlueTier begins by developing your ideal customer profile, or ICP. We ask a practical question: if you could fill a room with the people most valuable for you to know, who would be in that room?
Depending on your objectives, that audience might include prospective clients, business owners, executives, buyers, referral partners, vendors, advisers, association leaders, strategic partners, or other relevant professionals.
What if I am not sure who my ideal audience should be?
That is normal. BlueTier's onboarding and discovery process is designed to help clarify the audience. We can evaluate different relationship paths, such as targeting direct buyers, referral partners, centers of influence, strategic partners, or organizations with access to the market you want to reach.
Can BlueTier show me a sample of the people it would target?
Yes. During a walkthrough or campaign-planning session, BlueTier can demonstrate how potential audiences are defined and show representative target profiles based on factors such as title, industry, company type, geography, and experience. Final targeting is reviewed with the member before the campaign begins.
Can I target more than one type of person or industry?
Yes, depending on your membership and campaign design. BlueTier can distinguish separate ideal customer profiles and campaigns when multiple audiences require different positioning or messaging (multiple ICPs or campaigns are included with Premium; Professional and Plus run one campaign at a time). We generally recommend starting with a focused audience, learning from the response, and expanding deliberately.
Does BlueTier review my LinkedIn profile?
Yes. Your professional profile helps people decide whether to accept a connection or continue a conversation. BlueTier can review your profile and recommend improvements so that your experience, role, credibility, and value are clear. You decide which changes to make.
What kind of messages does BlueTier use?
BlueTier is designed around relevant, light-touch professional communication. The objective is to introduce you, provide appropriate context, and create an opening for a conversation—not to pressure recipients or overwhelm them with aggressive sales language.
Messaging is developed around your audience, offer, communication style, and approved campaign strategy.
Can campaigns include links, educational information, or attachments?
Where supported by the platform and appropriate for the campaign, messaging may include links, educational information, or other materials. BlueTier generally recommends keeping early communication simple and conversational. Longer materials are most effective when they add clear value or are shared after a recipient expresses interest.
What do I approve before a campaign begins?
You approve the audience, campaign strategy, messaging, sequence, and operating parameters before a campaign begins. You can monitor performance and pause or adjust activity through your dashboard.
That approval covers the material campaign elements before launch, including the intended audience, positioning, messaging approach, sequence, timing, and operating parameters. BlueTier then operates the approved workflow while monitoring performance and platform conditions.
You do not necessarily approve every individual message one at a time. Any separate AI-assisted response or automated-response capability is governed by the features enabled for your account and the agreed workflow.
Can I see what BlueTier is doing?
Yes. Members receive visibility into their campaign through the BlueTier Dashboard. Depending on the enabled features, the dashboard may display campaign status, network activity, connections, outreach, responses, conversations requiring attention, and performance reporting.
Can I pause or change a campaign?
Yes. Campaigns can be reviewed, adjusted, or paused based on your direction, campaign performance, changes in your business, recipient feedback, account conditions, or third-party platform limitations.
What happens when someone responds?
BlueTier monitors engagement and helps identify conversations that require attention. Depending on the membership and enabled capabilities, AI may assist with conversation summaries, response drafts, follow-up suggestions, or scheduling assistance (Beta).
When a conversation requires professional judgment, relationship building, or a substantive business discussion, it is handed to you or the appropriate person on your team. BlueTier helps create and organize the opportunity; the human relationship remains yours.
Does BlueTier close the sale for me?
No. BlueTier helps build the network, create engagement, identify relevant responses, and support the transition to a human conversation. You remain responsible for discovery, professional advice, proposals, negotiation, compliance, and closing the business.
Transparency, LinkedIn, and Account Control
Is BlueTier transparent?
Yes. BlueTier operates transparently. Members can review the audience, campaign strategy, messaging approach, activity, and results available through their dashboard. BlueTier also publicly explains its relationship with LinkedIn, its use of third-party technology, relevant platform risks, data practices, and the limitations of the service.
Transparency also means being honest about outcomes: BlueTier does not guarantee connections, responses, meetings, introductions, leads, sales, or revenue.
Will people know that I use BlueTier?
BlueTier supports approved activity conducted through your professional profile. Recipients generally see communication from you, not a separate BlueTier-branded account. BlueTier does not change who you are or permit false claims. Your profile, offer, and communications should truthfully represent you and your business.
Is BlueTier affiliated with LinkedIn?
No. BlueTier is an independent business-development platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or an official representative of LinkedIn.
How does BlueTier connect to LinkedIn?
BlueTier uses an approved third-party connectivity provider to support connected-account workflows. The connection is session-based and allows enabled BlueTier workflows to operate through the member's account within the permissions and operating parameters established for the service.
Is a paid LinkedIn subscription required?
A paid LinkedIn subscription is not strictly required to use BlueTier, but it is recommended for professionals using LinkedIn as an active business-development channel.
LinkedIn Premium or Sales Navigator may provide additional search, visibility, prospecting, and account-management capabilities that complement the BlueTier experience. Sales Navigator may be especially valuable for members targeting specific companies, industries, roles, or decision-makers.
LinkedIn subscriptions are purchased separately from LinkedIn and are not included in a BlueTier membership. During onboarding, BlueTier can help determine which subscription level, if any, best supports the member's campaign strategy.
A paid LinkedIn subscription does not eliminate platform risk or guarantee greater activity limits, account protection, campaign performance, or business results.
Does BlueTier collect my LinkedIn password?
No. BlueTier's public onboarding process does not ask for or store your LinkedIn password. Account connection and any identity-verification steps are completed through the applicable connected-account process. Never send BlueTier a password or verification code through email, chat, or a public form.
Does BlueTier automatically send activity through my account?
BlueTier can execute an approved campaign workflow through a connected account. Before launch, the member reviews and approves the material audience, messaging, sequence, and operating parameters. The exact level of automation depends on the membership, enabled features, and agreed campaign configuration.
Is there risk to my LinkedIn account?
Yes. Any third-party software, connected-account workflow, or assisted activity involving LinkedIn can carry risk. LinkedIn controls its own platform, policies, warnings, restrictions, and enforcement decisions. BlueTier cannot guarantee continued LinkedIn access or guarantee that an account will never receive a warning or restriction.
BlueTier uses account-aware pacing, monitoring, stop conditions, and campaign controls intended to reduce unnecessary activity and respond to platform signals. Activity may be reduced or paused when account or platform conditions require it.
What happens if LinkedIn issues a warning or restriction?
BlueTier may pause relevant activity, review the account condition, and coordinate next steps with the member. LinkedIn controls the warning, restriction, identity-verification process, and final enforcement decision. BlueTier cannot override those decisions.
AI and Human Involvement
Why does BlueTier use AI?
Business development includes a large amount of repetitive work: defining audiences, reviewing profiles, drafting messages, monitoring activity, organizing conversations, and identifying follow-up opportunities. AI helps BlueTier perform that work more consistently and efficiently.
The purpose of AI is to support relationship development—not replace the people involved.
What can AI do within BlueTier?
Depending on the membership and currently enabled features, AI may assist with:
- Onboarding and ICP development
- Profile analysis
- Campaign and message drafting
- Conversation summaries
- Response and follow-up suggestions
- Identifying engagement that needs attention
- Scheduling assistance (Beta)
- Reporting and performance recommendations
Specific capabilities may be introduced in stages or offered in beta as the platform develops.
Does AI replace me in the conversation?
No. AI can support repetitive or preliminary steps, but it cannot replace your experience, professional judgment, credibility, or personal relationship with a prospect. BlueTier is designed to move meaningful engagement toward the right human—not keep every conversation inside an automated system.
Can AI send a response without my involvement?
The answer depends on the capability enabled for your membership and the workflow you approve. Some configurations may provide drafts for human review, while other approved workflows may support limited preliminary responses within defined parameters (Beta; off by default and enabled only at your direction). BlueTier should clearly document the enabled behavior before activation, and conversations requiring judgment or a business decision should be escalated to a person.
Introductions and Relationship Development
What is the BlueTier Introduction Service?
The BlueTier Introduction Service is intended to help members reach relevant people through existing professional relationships and participating networks—not only through direct outreach from their own profile.
Where available (Premium · Pilot), BlueTier may:
- Identify a potentially relevant introduction path through a participating connector's professional network.
- Reach out from that connector's profile under the approved campaign.
- Proceed only when the recipient responds positively.
- Open a group introduction that includes you and the recipient.
- Hand the conversation to you.
Introductions depend on relevance, permission, network availability, and the willingness of the people involved. An introduction is not an endorsement or a guaranteed opportunity.
Does BlueTier share my entire network with other members?
No. BlueTier's introduction model is based on identifying potentially relevant relationship paths and facilitating appropriate, permission-based introductions. It is not intended to publish or freely distribute a member's complete network to other members.
Are introductions guaranteed?
No. BlueTier cannot guarantee that a relevant relationship path exists, that an existing connection will agree to make an introduction, or that the recipient will accept or engage. Introductions are facilitated where they are relevant and appropriate.
Results and Expectations
Will BlueTier bring me clients?
BlueTier can help you reach relevant people, build a stronger professional network, create more opportunities for appropriate conversations, and identify qualified engagement. It cannot guarantee that a connection or conversation will become a client.
Results also depend on the strength of your offer, professional profile, audience selection, message quality, market conditions, responsiveness, follow-up, and ability to convert an opportunity into business.
What results should I expect?
BlueTier should be viewed as a relationship-development system, not an instant-lead product. Early activity typically focuses on setup, positioning, audience definition, and network growth. As the campaign continues, BlueTier evaluates responses, refines the approach, and helps develop relevant conversations.
Some opportunities may emerge quickly, while others may develop over weeks, months, or longer. Professional networks can compound in value over time, but no specific timetable or outcome is guaranteed.
How should I think about the first 30, 60, and 90 days?
- First 30 days: Complete onboarding, clarify positioning, define the audience, review the profile, and begin the campaign.
- Around 60 days: Continue growing and engaging the network while learning from acceptance, response, and conversation patterns.
- Around 90 days: Review the broader campaign performance, refine the strategy, and evaluate the quality of relationships and opportunities developing.
This is an operating framework, not a promise that leads or revenue will appear by a particular date.
Does BlueTier guarantee a certain number of invitations, messages, connections, meetings, or leads?
No. Activity varies based on the account, network size, campaign strategy, platform conditions, applicable policies, and safety controls. BlueTier does not guarantee minimum activity, acceptance rates, replies, introductions, meetings, leads, sales, or revenue.
Membership, Onboarding, and Billing
What membership options are available?
BlueTier's current membership structure is:
- Professional — $89 per month: Core audience development, targeted network growth, approved outreach, campaign management, and dashboard reporting.
- Plus — $179 per month: Professional features plus additional AI-assisted response, follow-up, relationship-nurture, and scheduling support (scheduling assistance is in Beta), subject to currently enabled capabilities.
- Premium — $299 per month: Plus features plus the BlueTier Introduction Service (Premium · Pilot), multiple ICPs or campaigns, enhanced relationship intelligence (In development), advanced reporting, and priority support, subject to currently enabled capabilities.
Any capability that remains in beta, pilot, or development is labeled as such.
Is the first month free?
Yes, under BlueTier's current introductory offer.
First month free. Payment method required during onboarding. Monthly billing begins after the free month unless canceled.
Is there a long-term commitment?
No. BlueTier memberships are month-to-month unless a separate written agreement states otherwise. Membership renews automatically each month after the free period until canceled.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Cancellation is governed by the membership terms accepted during onboarding. Unless different written terms apply, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and access continues through that period.
How does onboarding work?
Onboarding captures your contact information, professional profile, goals, target audience, campaign preferences, account-risk acknowledgement, selected membership, agreement acceptance, and payment method. BlueTier then uses that information to prepare the initial campaign for review.
Membership terms, cancellation, and refund provisions are presented and accepted during onboarding.
How long does onboarding take?
The online onboarding process is designed to take approximately 10 to 15 minutes. Members who want assistance can complete a live concierge onboarding session with the BlueTier team.
Can I speak with someone before onboarding?
Yes. You can book a 15-minute walkthrough to explain your objectives, see how BlueTier may apply to your business, and determine the appropriate next step. Prospects who are ready to proceed may start onboarding immediately.
When does my campaign begin?
Completing onboarding does not mean activity begins immediately. BlueTier first reviews the submitted information, prepares the campaign setup, confirms any required account connection, and presents the material campaign elements for approval. Timing depends on profile readiness, campaign requirements, account connection, and current onboarding capacity.
